"Video games and films have always been something special to me, so I decided I wanted to write music for them." 

Roch Scantlebury/Moonlight Creative is a composer, beatmaker and flautist from Barbados. His musical journey began at the age of 14 with the flute, and he discovered his love for composition while completing his associate degree in music at the Barbados Community College. On the other hand, his gaming journey began at the age of 8 after he discovered online flash games. He particularly enjoys 2D platformers, open world games and Metroidvanias, with his favorite titles including Hollow Knight, Hollow Knight Silksong, Teamfight Tactics and Nine Sols. 

Roch's writing covers a broad range of styles, from orchestral music, beats, chiptune and more.  He particularly values storytelling in music and loves to craft his compositions around prompts and other ideas in order to bring the stories to life.

He has worked with several film makers, including Corie and Trinity Rose of Trizon Productions, Christian-Paul "GiiibbZ Of Fizix" Gibson and Tre Robinson. In addition to Artist Manager and Photographer Tyrese Robinson of MaiHouse Events and Twitch Streamer MimiStarlett.

 

His composer accolades (so far) include:

 

• Playing a key role in the creation of the music for Perturbed (2025), a film by Trinity Rose, which went on to be screened at the Caribbean Film Festival, The Berlin Film Festival and CARIFESTA, among many other places.

• Placing second in the National Independence Festival of Creative Arts (NIFCA) Music Arrangers Challenge in 2024

• Placing 11th in the Indie Game Music Contest 2024

• Placing 25th in the Indie Film Music Contest Winter 2024
